Bee Wise Critical Life Skills Curriculum Workshop

If we don’t take a proactive stance to protect our children, who will?
Why the Bee Wise Children’s Critical Life Skills Workshop?
  • 1 in 4 female child will be sexually molested before the age of 18.
  • 1 in 6 male child will be sexually molested before the age of 18.
  • 1 in 5 children are solicited sexually while on the internet.
  • Nearly 70% of all reported sexual assaults (including assaults on adults) occur to children ages 17 and under.
  • An estimated 39 million survivors of childhood sexual abuse exist in America today.
  • 30-40% of child victims are molested by a family member.
  • Another 50% are molested by someone outside of the family whom they know and trust.
  • Approximately 40% are molested by older or larger children whom they know.
  • Therefore, only 10% are molested by strangers, which means the greater danger is not from without, it’s from within the circle of family, friends and playmates of the child.
With statistics like these, it is imperative to start empowering our children to recognize the ever present danger of their surroundings and the people around them. Again the vast majority of molestation comes from those you least expect. Preparing our children before they experience the trauma of CSM is the logical and proactive option.

Securing Hope Ministry’s Bee Wise Children’s Critical Life Skills Workshop is designed for parents and ministry leaders who want to be proactive in protecting children from sexual molestation. This workshop will teach the participants how to teach the Bee Wise Children’s Critical Life Skills Curriculum designed for children ages 4-9. Those who complete this two day workshop will receive a certificate and have a working knowledge of every component of the Bee Wise Children’s Critical Life Skills Curriculum. This workshop is especially crucial for parents/guardians with young children.

The workshop will identify current trends and issues regarding CSM, (childhood sexual molestation) which will establish the need and benefits of the curriculum, identify and address the critical life skills that will empower children to recognize, avoid and report CSM, and testing. The cost for each participant is $60.00, (include facilitator’s manual) or $75.00 which includes the complete curriculum.
